ISUZU has this week boosted its Trooper range with improved power steering giving enhanced 'on centre' feel with improved straight-line stability and the addition of full-size airbags on Duty models as recently introduced on the luxury Citation and seat-belt pretensioners.

And, due to an improved contract with Isuzu of Japan - which comes into effect this month - importer, International Motors, plans to boost Trooper sales while expanding its dealer network from 120 to 140 outlets. The improved 13-strong 1997 Trooper range now starts with the 3.1 diesel turbo or 3.2 V6 petrol SWB standard at an identical £18,995 on the road.
