VAUXHALL is offering the 2.5-litre V6 Vectra CD at the same price as the 2.0-litre 16v version to fleets which place orders before January 31 next year. The CD model was introduced for the 1998 model year and the price parity move represents a £1,000 saving with the 2.0-litre model costing £17,175 on-the-road and the 2.5-litre model £18,175 on-the-road.

The model bridges the gap between the GLS and CDX models. Vectra brand manager Stuart Harris said: 'The Vectra CD offer will help establish the model as an affordable luxury car and will please those who thought our V6 power unit was out of their price range.'
