TELECOMMUNICATIONS giant BT is to offer its 200,000 employees and pensioners access to Lex Vehicle Leasing's FreeChoice personal contract purchase scheme. The PCP package will form part of BT's 'Benefits Plus Scheme', a wide ranging portfolio of employee benefits.

Lex FreeChoice offers both new and used cars through an Inland Revenue approved PCP finance scheme, or simply the option of buying new cars through Lex Retail, used cars through Lex autosales, and competitively priced service and repair packages at Lex autocentres.

BT's move marks the second major win for Lex FreeChoice, following the steps of LucasVarity who is offering it to its 20,000 strong workforce. As a result Lex has established a team of 15 people in Manchester to answer enquiries which come in via a dedicated freephone number. A Lex spokesman said the company had some interesting targets for PCP schemes over the next five years, when it would expect to have contract numbers running into five figures.
