Honda in bid to win more corporate sales for British-built Accord

GREATER choice and higher value are to spearhead a New Year drive by Honda to win more corporate sales for the British-built Accord saloon range. Two new models will join fresh derivatives to swell the upper-medium executive range from six to 10 manual cars, plus another five automatics - all equipped with air conditioning and alloy wheels as standard - in January.

Honda UK corporate sales manager Nicholas Phillips said: 'We want the Accord to appeal to a wider customer base as we plan for our all-new replacement range about 12 months from now. Our predicted total of 9,200 corporate registrations for this year provides us with a strong platform for business in 1998 during the run up to the arrival of the sixth-generation Accord line-up.'

1998 Accord prices: 1.8iS £14,995, 1.8iS Executive £16,490, 1.8iS Sport £16,490, 1.8iS Executive Sport £17,985, 2.0iSI £16,795, auto £17,795, 2.0iSI Executive £18,290, auto £19,290, 2.0iSI Sport £18,290, auto £19,290, 2.0i Executive Sport £19,785, £29,785, 2.0i TD £18,820, 2.2iVTEC £21,995, auto £22,995.
