VAUXHALL has thrown down the gauntlet to petrol-engined company car drivers by offering them the opportunity to test petrol against diesel back-to-back in the new Vectra TDi. The spot the difference exercise involves a free 48-hour road test open to all drivers over 25 who drive a company car comparable to the Vectra.

The campaign is centred on the new 100bhp 16-valve Vectra TDi, which received acclaim for its combination of performance and frugality when it was launched earlier this year. Company car drivers can book a drive via a central number, answer a couple of qualifying questions and have the car delivered and collected from either their home or office. The 48-hour test programme involves 1,000 demonstration cars.
