DAVID Hurst, AA general manager, motor manufacturer and dealer services, has left the motoring organisation to pursue his ambition of buying a motor dealership. Hurst joined the AA in 1995 to help the organisation win manufacturer business, after holding senior roles with both Ford and Nissan.

He was thought to have been instrumental in the AA's success in winning new accounts with both Daewoo and MG. The AA has not yet announced his replacement.
