Geneva launch for Ford Puma

FORD is preparing to launch its most important model of the year at next month's Geneva Show. Based on the Fiesta platform, the Puma will be powered by a new 1.7-litre 125 PS version of the acclaimed Zetec SE engine with variable cam timing technology - a first for Ford.

The new power unit propels it to 60mph in 8.8secs and on to a top speed of 126mph, while delivering average fuel economy of 38.2mpg. The Puma will hit the showrooms in July with a price tag of around £15,000.
