Donnelly jobs pledge

A JOBS pledge has been issued by General Motors Europe president Richard Donnelly to the company's workforce, which includes Vauxhall employees in the UK.

Hard on the heels of Ford shedding jobs at its Halewood Escort plant and Renault planning to cut 3,100 jobs with the closure of its Belgium car plant, Donnelly said GM had no plans to cut jobs despite over-capacity in Europe to the tune of around three to four million units
