PEUGEOT has won its largest van order worth £10 million to supply 1,000 106 vans to AccuRead, a new company set up to read household utility meters.

The deal underlines Peugeot's bid to double van sales in 1997 to 10,000 and expand to 15,000 units. Worcestershire-based AccuRead receives the first vehicles this month and then around 100 per month until the end of the year.
