FLEET management software specialist TRANMAN has been sold to its management team in a £1 million buy-out. The Bristol-based outfit is planning new investment and a 15% increase in its workforce after securing sufficient backing to demerge from its parent company RMS Group, which markets broader-based asset management software.

Headed up by managing director George Webb, the MBO will provide resources for greater investment in customer support, installation and new projects.

The company has picked a series of new accounts since launching a Windows-based version of its software - including Durham Police, Argos Distribution, the Environment Agency - Thames and a number of local authorities.
