MITSUBISHI is offering a free driver training package with every new Galant it sells as part of a wider campaign to improve standards of driving in the UK. Under the banner 'The Campaign for Galant Driving' the importer has teamed up with RoSPA to provide a free advanced driving course for both customers and their partners.

The offer is open to both corporate and private buyers, with fleets qualifying for as many training courses as vehicles purchased. As well as monitoring the performance capabilities of the car, each half-day course will cover topics like defensive driving, hazard recognition and driver perception and all participants will receive a RoSPA/Mitsubishi Performance Driving certificate upon completion.

The Galant goes on sale this week with a starting price of £17,210 for the 2.0GLS.
