VAUXHALL has released prices of the two new additions to its Corsa range - the new 1.0-litre 12v and 16v Sport models. The three door 1.6i 16v Sport delivering 106 PS, a top speed of 119 mph and a 0-60 mph time of 9.5 seconds is the most powerful and fastest Corsa model to date and costs £12,495 on the road. The Corsa 1.4i 16v Sport three door now costs £11,820 on the road.

The all-new Vauxhall 12v engine debuts in a special edition Corsa Sting costing £8,540 on the road. The model, which goes on sale next month, is based on the Corsa Merit three-door but specification additions include alloy wheels, metallic paint, sunroof and tinted glass. The 1.0-litre engine will appear in Corsa Merit and LX models for the 1998 model year.
