A MAJOR recruitment drive is to take off this year as the Association of Car Fleet Operators bids to have 2000 members by the turn of the century. The drive will be one of the major functions of the new membership secretariat which has been selected following a tender process begun when Jim Thorn retired as national secretary after a career change.

Fleet Audits, whose managing director is ACFO director Stewart Whyte, was selected to carry out the membership secretariat service on a two-year contract which will then be subject to annual review.
