ROVER has cut £600 from the price of its 100 range models to improve sales. The move follows retail-targeted price cuts of up to £1,300 on some 200 and 400 models and reduced prices and increased spec on the 600 and 800 ranges.
The cuts on the 100 models are due to market pressure as the range reaches the end of its life-span. It also follows the Euro NCAP crash tests in which the 100 came out bottom of seven superminis
On-the-road prices: 111 Ascot 3-door £6,595 and 5-door £6,995; 111 Ascot SE 3-door £7,195 and 5-door £7,595, 115 Diesel Ascot SE 3-door £7,695 and 5-door £8,095; 114 SLi 3-door £8,395 and 5-door £8,795; 114 GTa 3-door £8,695 and 114 GSi 5-door £9,395.
