Volvo moves worldwide fleet sales team to Britain

VOLVO is to establish an international corporate sales team based at the company's UK headquarters in Marlow. The decision to switch the fleet sales operation from Sweden to Britain acknowledges the UK's pre-eminent position as the most advanced corporate car market in the world.

It reinforces similar sentiments at compatriot car-maker Saab, which flew corporate sales personnel from all over the world to attend its annual conference - timed specially to coincide with the Fleet Motor Show.

Initially comprising four people, the new operation will be headed up by former leasing manager Alan Carpenter, whose role will be to make the most of emerging corporate business opportunities across Europe and in other key markets such as North America and Japan.
