LIBERTY Mutual Group, a $37 billion US insurance company with its own driving research centre, this week launched a new fleet driver training company in the UK. Boston, Massachusetts-based LMG is the parent of Liberty Europe, whose UK risk management subsidiary Liberty Risk Services has set up the new Training Division.

This will focus on what it calls 'Decision Driving,' and has recruited its own team of defensive driving instructors who will work for no other training company. LRS Training Division will offer both classroom theory sessions and hands-on practical training for fleet drivers anywhere in the UK. It is being led by directors Roger Clark and Tony Walsh, formerly of RoSPA Driving Services.
