Integra will hot up Honda's image

HONDA has confirmed it will bring the fire-breathing Integra-R to Europe in limited numbers next year as part of an ongoing campaign to spice up its slightly staid image. The 200bhp flying machine boasts one of the highest specific outputs in the world among normally aspirated production car engines.

VTEC engine technology, a stiffened bodyshell, limited slip differential and ventilated disc brakes with ABS signal the Integra R's racebred development. Although the Integra will only be shipped to the UK in very small numbers, new cars bearing the 'Type R' sub-brand are set to follow.
