CAMBRIDGESHIRE-based Copywrite has opted for a sale and leaseback arrangement with BCH Vehicle Management for its fleet of 38 vehicles in a £500,000 deal. The company has a head office in Duxford and a manufacturing unit in Manchester producing character and fashion stationery and bags depicting cartoon characters and other children's favourites.

The company has achieved significant growth over the last 18 months and the decision to switch from outright purchase to leasing vehicles was made as the fleet has expanded rapidly in line with the business.

Drew Wilson, Copywrite general manager, said: 'When the fleet was small it was easy to manage ourselves, but with 38 vehicles it now makes sense to release the capital and hand over some of the day-to-day running of the fleet.'

BCH, which won the deal after a tender process against six other companies, will also provide fleet management services, including accident management and Pro Fleet to organise all maintenance for the fleet, as well as AA Fleet Europe, Auto Rental and BCH fuel cards.
