Vauxhall releases price rise details

VAUXHALL has released further details of its price rises which initially effect Astra, Vectra and van models and which came into effect this week. The rise averages 0.9% on Astra and 0.8% on Vectra and while the Tigra, Calibra, Sintra, Frontera, Monterey and Corsa ranges escape, increases on an up-specced Omega are expected to be announced later this month.

Vans are affected by an average 0.7% rise, although the Combo Epic, Brava and Arena remain unchanged and the Corsavan Epic 1.7D is reduced by £200.

Sample prices (with previous prices in brackets): cars - Astra 1.4 Merit 5-dr £12,125 (£11,995), Astra 1.7TD 5-dr £12,775 (£12,625) Astra 1.6LS 5-dr £13,545 (£13,495), Astra 1.6 GLS 5-dr £14,745 (£14,745), Astra Merit 1.4 est £12,875 (£12,745), Astra Merit 1.7TD est £13,525 (£13,370). Vectra 1.6 Envoy 5-dr £13,950 (£13,700), Vectra 1.8 LS 5dr £15,050 (£14,960), Vectra 2.0 DI LS 5-dr £15,750 (£15,750), 2.0 GLS 5-dr £16,650 (£16,600), 2.0 CD 5-dr £17,175, 1.8 LS estate £15,700 (£15,560). Vans (ex. VAT): Corsavan Merit 1.4 £7,710 (£7,620), Astravan 1.6LS £10,775 (£10,650).
