ENGINEERING and construction giant Kvaerner has re-signed Europcar as its primary supplier for car and van rental in the UK and North America for a further two years. Kvaerner is one of Europcar's top 10 corporate accounts, and the rental company was understandably delighted to retain the business, although it declined to reveal the value of the contract.

Larry Simpson, Kvaerner's senior vice-president of human resources, said the company had a large global car rental requirement with more than 55,000 employees worldwide. 'Europcar works hard in those areas where it is a primary supplier. It is price and service competitive and we enjoy an excellent working relationship with it,' he said.
