Nexus Media switches fleet to contract hire

FAST growing Nexus Media Communications has switched from outright purchase to contract hire for its 100-strong car fleet. Axus UK has won the sole supply contract which will see a sale and leaseback of 60 of Nexus's cars, while 40 others due for renewal will be replaced with contract hired vehicles.

Under the terms of the arrangement, Axus will also provide Nexus drivers with a dedicated telephone number and driver contact, along with fuel cards, short term car hire, and full accident management services. Alan Leary, Axus account manager, said: 'We have worked very closely with Nexus to design a package to meet its specific fleet requirements, and are delighted to have won this contract.'

Ray Lawrence, Nexus personnel manager, said: 'Axus' experience in the market place was invaluable to us in reviewing the management of our fleet. We were very impressed by the company's service levels and expertise.'
