VOLKSWAGEN has introduced its Caddy Kombi, a cross between a car and a van, into the UK following huge success in mainland Europe. Now on sale, the vehicle combines a Polo with the Caddy van, with prices starting at £11,233.25 for the 1.9-litre 64bhp diesel and rising to £11,350.75 on the road for the 1.6-litre 75bhp petrol model.

The 'high-cube' rear gives the Kombi twice as much luggage capacity, with the rear seats folded, as a Polo estate. Its maximum rear load volume is 88.34 cu ft and it has a 625kg payload. A driver's airbag is standard and security features include a 'snatch plate' on the stereo, steering wheel lock with 'slipping clutch' and engine immobiliser.
