XK8 success marks Jaguar's auction return

THE Jaguar XK8 V8 has made its auction debut at BCA Blackbushe at a special closed sale for Jaguar dealers. This was the Coventry manufacturer's first auction in the UK since 1996, and more than 80% of Jaguar's dealer network attended.

On offer was a selection of late year, low mileage XK8 coupes and convertibles, XJ6 Saloons, Sport, Sovereign and Daimler Double Six, and 4.0 LWB models. The sale achieved a 100% conversion rate, with £50,000 paid for a 1996 P reg XK8 convertible with 12,400 miles on the clock, £47,000 buying a 1997 (R) XK8 coupe with 9,000 miles, and £32,200 bid for an 11,000 miles 1997 (P) XJ Sport 3.2 V8.
