Managers back Driving Business Forward report

FLEET manager support for the 'Driving Business Forward - the future of the company car and business transport' report has continued to pour into the Fleet NewsNet office this week. The report dispels the myths surrounding business cars, and defends the business car in the face of stiff and unfounded criticism from environmental lobby groups.

Since its launch almost 250 fleet chiefs operating almost 330,000 vehicles have contacted Fleet News and Fleet NewsNet backing the report. Their responses will be forwarded in the next few days to Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown and Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott as they draw up details of the March 17 Budget and the forthcoming transport white paper.

The report's message has been unanimously backed by fleet operators who have spoken with a single voice in describing the company car as an indispensable business tool.
