Don't axe wood, Aston Martin told

POTENTIAL customers have already assured Aston Martin that the company's dramatic Vantage Project concept looks every inch a winner - from the outside. But their views are polarised over the futuristic interior styling of the 200mph-plus supercar.

'A strong body of opinion suggests we should retain wood and leather trim - and while we may well be known for that kind of finish, the irony is that we've used it for only a relatively short period in our history,' said spokesman Harry Calton. Following its Geneva debut, the advanced technology Aston will be in Florida next month and California in August to allow further customer research .
