Link-up will spearhead new markets for invoicing system

ELECTRONIC trading pioneer OASIS has formed a strategic alliance with GE Information Services to open up new markets for its automated authorisation and invoicing system.

The partnership pairs OASIS's specialist knowledge of the fleet sector with GEIS's industry-leading technical expertise and global influence. The first fruits of the partnership will be an Internet-based system for on-line service and repair authorisation - complementing OASIS's widely used EDI system.

OASIS executive director Alan Croft said: 'The new partnership will focus our resource base and subsequently bring tremendous benefits to our community. In particular, we will be able to bring to the market the very latest technology, such as EDI over the Internet, which resolves both security and cost-effectiveness issues.
