A POOLE-based company is aiming to extend its success in the liquid petroleum gas marine market into the road vehicle market. LPG Marine plans to develop up to 180 LPG Autocentres within the next year on a franchise basis. It will train franchisee technicians to convert vehicles to LPG, and supply them with conversion kits and bulk supplies of LPG for retail purposes.

The company already has a thriving business on the south coast, converting boats to run on LPG, and believes this experience will readily translate to the car, van and truck market. Its one road vehicle site is in Poole and has converted light commercial vehicles for public sector organisations, and cars for private individuals.
