THE AA announced at the Fleet Motor Show that it had renewed its contract to provide breakdown and recovery services for the 90,000 vehicles operated by GE Capital Fleet Services. The pan-European ARC Transistance agreement covers vehicles supplied by Avis Fleet Services, Leasecontracts and Cochranes Fleet Services.

Also at the show the motoring organisation announced that its fleet breakdown and recovery service had been extended to cover the increasing number of MPVs in use in the business sector. From this month all vehicles covered by Fleetwide, Specialist Vehicles and standard breakdown insurance will automatically be upgraded from cover for five people - the driver and four passengers - to the new total of eight people.
