Toyota upgrades Celica

AIR-conditioning or sunroof is now offered as standard on Toyota Celica 2.0 ST and 1.8 GT models. The models have also been given new interior cloth trims and three-spoke airbag steering wheels, while the cabriolet gets full leather upholstery as standard.

All models have factory-fitted RDS radio-cassette players with a removable security panel. For 1998 GT and Cabriolet are given a logic-controlled cassette deck with six-speakers in place of the previous four.

A limited edition of 300 Celica SRs is due to go on sale this month. Features include side-skirts, rear spoiler and stainless steel front grille mesh.
