Operators' handbook available in disk format

THE Fleet Operators Handbook, produced by Fleet NewsNet publisher Emap Automotive, is now available on disk. The handbook is an annual directory of fleet suppliers from auction companies to windscreen replacement specialists.

Its arrival on disk gives users access to a search and select facility, allowing information to be found - by company name, vehicle marque, town or county information - from any of the nine categories covering dealers, contract hire and leasing, manufacturers, fuel management, insurance, risk management, auction and disposal, fast-fit, driver training and computer software. The system will provide name, address, phone and fax numbers, which can be viewed on screen, printed or exported to a number of word processing packages.

Information is renewed each year, with updates costing half the price of the original software. The disk version is also sent out six months before the paper version. Packages cost from £450, but the first 50 respondents to contact new media consultant Dominic McMullan on 01733 467066 will qualify for a 10% discount.
