Results lead Hill Hire to expansion

GROWING vehicle and trailer rental group Hill Hire has set its sites on further expansion following a surge in turnover and profits in the past year. Results released showed turnover for the year ended March 31 up 34% to £27.1 million compared to the year before (£20.3 million), with pre-tax profits up 26% to £5.3 million before exceptional items (£4.2 million).

Jeff Chapman, chief executive, said: 'The Hill Hire fleet has continued to expand strongly, increasing from 3,621 units to 4,492, a rise of 24%.'
