Council splits supply contract three ways

HEREFORDSHIRE County Council has awarded a three-year contract to supply vehicles for its 100-strong user-chooser-car fleet to a trio of contract hire companies. TransLinc, First National Vehicle Contracts and Vauxhall Master Hire will supply equal shares of vehicles to the council on a contract hire basis.

The companies all tendered to the council, which decided it would get the best deal by going with all three. Herefordshire Council only came into existence in April of this year. Prior to this there was Hereford and Worcester County Council, South Herefordshire District Council and the City of Hereford Council.

These had vehicles supplied by British Car Contracts, The Consortium, Cochrane Fleet Services, Brooklyn Vehicle Contracts and Highway Vehicle Management.
