SEAT has simplified its range for the New Year and included price changes to some models. The base Estilo model is renamed the S, as is the 1.9TDi Salsa in the Ibiza range. Non-turbodiesels are dropped from the line-up and the GTi 2.0 eight-valve Ibiza Cupra Sport is reduced in price from £12,395 to £11,995.

Its base model 1.4-litre Cordoba has been dropped, with the entry level £9,995 price band now occupied by the Cordoba S, powered by a 1.6-litre engine, joined by the 1.9 TDi unit at £12,495. The sporty SX two-door loses its previous diesel option and is now only available with a 2.0-litre 16-valve engine at £14,995, £1,000 more than last year's model.

SXE models in the Cordoba Vario range have been culled leaving two SEs, the 1.6-litre and the 1.9TDi, at £11,995 and the £12,995 respectively, down from £12,395 and £13,195 respectively. All SEATs come with a three-year unlimited mileage warranty as standard and AA recovery package.
