Price and spec changes to A4

A PRICE increase, improved specification and a facelift have been confirmed for the 1999 Audi A4. Across the A4 range prices are to go up by an average of 1.7%, except the A4 2.4 and 2.4 SE, A4 1.8T Sport, A4 2.8 and 2.8 SE, A4 2.8 quattro and S4 quattro, which remain unchanged.

Specification changes include electronic climate control (in lieu of sunroof) for all models except the standard A4 1.6.

All A4 models will have front fog lights, remote control central locking, leather trim for steering wheel and gear knob, and an outside temperature gauge. SE versions now gain electric rear windows, an automatic dipping rear view mirror, a front centre armrest and a split/fold rear seat.

Saloon line-up prices start with the A4 1.6 at £17,465.13 on-the-road, from £17,053.88, 1.8 £19,501.40 (£19,040.80), 1.9TDI £19,560.40 (£19,098.38), 1.9 TDI 110 £20,775.10 (£20,283.95), 2.5TDI £23,912.35 (£23,344.83) and 2.5TDI quattro £27,453.80 (£26,799.33). SE range prices are: 1.6 £19,262.88 (£18,421.58), 1.8 £21,100.58 (£20,639.98), 1.9TDI £21,159.33 (£20,697.55), 1.9TDI 110 £22,374.28 (£21,883.13) and 2.5TDI £25,511.53 (£24,944.00).

A4 Avant prices start with the 1.6 at £18,376.93 (£17,965.68), 1.8 £20,413.20 (£19,953.78), 1.9TDI £20,471.95 (£20,010.18), 1.9TDI 110 £21,686.90 (£21,195.75), 2.5TDI £24,824.15 (£24,256.63) and 2.5TDI quattro £28,528.93 (£27,711.13). Avant SE prices: 1.6 £20,362.68 (£19,496.70), 1.8 22,174.53 (£21,715.10), 1.9TDI £22,233.28 (£21,771.50), 1.9TDI 110 £23,448.23 (£22,957.08) and 2.5TDI £26,585.48 (£25,855.80).
