Lexus to make millennium mark

2000 will be the biggest year in the 10-year history of Lexus with four new vehicles set for launch in the UK, including the sports coupe concept convertible which made its world debut at the Tokyo Motor Show. The vehicle, powered by a V8 engine with variable valve timing and five-speed automatic transmission and fitted with run-flat tyres, features a plastic-free wood/leather interior and foldaway aluminium roof.

All Lexus will say about pricing is that it will cost less than a Mercedes S-class coupe, which is priced between £54,000 and £94,000. Joining the coupe in the Lexus line-up will be the RX 4x4 and two more 'secret' vehicles.
