VAUXHALL Van brand manager Darren Payne has revealed an aggressive new marketing strategy aimed at persuading customers into Vauxhall vans. 'These are in addition to our usual finance deals, such as 0% on Combo and Movano as an incentive to customers to consider Vauxhall,' he explained.

To raise awareness of offers and improve customer consideration over the period Vauxhall has devised 'Van Time' - a five-week concentrated promotion covering the launch of the new and improved products by the 200 van specialist dealers nationwide; an offer of either a free tow bar and electrics, free Sureguard or free servicing for one year, for every customer order placed between September 25 and October 31 (fleets up to 99 units);a chance for customers to win one of six vans or one of 20,000 prizes in total, including other high-value items such as power tools.

The mechanism being used is a scratchcard with a tea bag attached to it. 'It means that van customers can enjoy an essential part of their day - the tea break - on Vauxhall, while seeing if they've won a prize,' said Payne. There is also a 'win-a-van-in-the-can' promotion, which has been organised with ICI, offering customers a chance to win a Movano in more than 1,000 outlets nationally.
