ANC Rental president appointed

DENNIS Custage has been appointed president, international, for ANC Rental Corporation - the new parent company of National Car Rental and Alamo - following its spin-off by USA car retailer AutoNation. Custage will be based in the UK and is currently president, international, where he directs the activities of Alamo and National outside the USA and Canada.

He succeeds Geoff Corbett, who is retiring from the car rental industry at the end of 1999. Custage will be responsible for building the new company and its brands globally excluding North America. In Europe ANC Rental Corporation operates a fleet of more than 75,000 vehicles and is represented in 36 countries with 750 locations.
