SAVILLE and Holdsworth has outsourced its 90-strong fleet in a £2 million solus deal with Leasecontracts. SHL, which helps organisations to increase productivity through more effective use of their human resources, took a look at its own operation of in-house fleet management and decided time and cost savings could be made through outsourcing.

With no specific fleet manager SHL's administration of its fully-owned fleet fell as an extra duty to employees. Under the sale and leaseback, Leasecontracts' bespoke solution includes fixed cost maintenance and accident management for all 90 vehicles, now provided on a structured contract hire and contract purchase basis. Surrey-based Leasecontracts, a member business of GE Capital Fleet Services, is to supply Rover and Ford to make up the majority of the fleet.
