Police put Focus on trial

POLICE forces are putting the Ford Focus through its paces as part of a six-month test to see if the car is suited to law enforcement fleets. A mix of five-door and estate models with 1.4, 1.6 and 1.8-litre Zetec petrol engines and 1.8-litre turbo diesels are being evaluated.

Every Focus police car is fitted out by Ford Special Vehicle Preparations with cabling and equipment boards to Home Office specifications.
