ROVER has boosted its 200 and 400 ranges with the launch of three new special edition trim levels - iS, SEi and iL. They will sit alongside Rover's existing range during the run-out of the current 200 and 400, until the cars' replacement by updated and face-lifted models at the end of this year.

SEi models are available with 1.4 petrol and 2.0 diesel engines, and feature an electric sunroof, central locking and CD tuner. Prices start at £10,995 on-the-road for the Rover 200 1.4 SEi three-door, £11,495 for the five-door, and rise to £13,495 for the 420 SEi diesel. The iS trim features electric front windows, half-leather seats, front fog lamps, CD tuner, alloy wheels and rear spoiler (on the 200 and five-door 400). 200 models also have an electric sunroof, while 400s have air conditioning, and the 420 gains ABS as standard.

Engines for the iS are 1.4, 1.6 and 2.0 petrol and 2.0 diesel units. Prices start at £12,495 and rise to £15,495 for the 2.0iS diesel. The luxury trim pack of iL offers air conditioning, six-spoke alloy wheels, a CD tuner, and full leather seats in the 400. Prices start at £12,495 for the three-door 1.4iL, and rise to £15,495 for the 2.0-litre petrol 400 - this trim is not available on the 420 diesel.
