BUYERS have given a 'tremendous' response to the first sales held by Manheim Auctions at sites throughout the UK. The first week of sales following the auction company's re-naming from ICA/CMA/NCA have been held at sites in Manchester, Washington, Wimbledon and Bristol. They were the first in Europe for US-based Manheim Auctions.

The sale at Bristol included 700 cars and achieved a 66% conversion rate while, at Washington, the rate for the largest entry in the site's eight-year history was 62%. John Bailey, Manheim Auctions chief executive, described vendor response to the re-branding as 'tremendous'.
