DR John Reid has been replaced as Transport Minister by former Scottish Office minister Helen Liddell in a Cabinet reshuffle.

Reid has been appointed Secretary of State for Scotland, a position which became vacant when Donald Dewar was elected First Minister of the new Scottish Parliament.
