A TOTAL of about 40 36-foot racing yachts are set to take part in the 1999 Fleet News Regatta off the Isle of Wight, based at Cowes on June 23 and 24. So far, more than 25 boats have been booked but there is still time for you to book your yacht and entertain both staff and clients in the unique environment of Cowes and race on the Solent.

The regatta, now in its eighth year, is the largest corporate hospitality event in the Cowes calendar. A typical racing day starts with breakfast on board the Ocean Scene - a large catamaran - as it makes the voyage from Southampton to Cowes. Racing takes place either side of lunch on board your yacht anchored off Osborne Bay, with a jazz band welcoming the returning yachts back to Cowes for a cocktail reception followed by a gala dinner.
