FLEET vehicle remarketing specialist T2 Logistics has joined with vehicle delivery and logistics group AutoLogic Holdings to create a new 'cradle-to-grave' service for fleets. The three-year joint venture includes an option for AutoLogic to acquire T2 Logistics to offer a permanent expansion of its service.

As well as providing a disposal service through an extensive database of dealers and other outlets, T2 Logistics also acts as an independent consultant for residual value forecasting for several clients from its premises at Normanton Airfield, near Grantham.

John Buxton, managing director of T2 - which currently disposes of 15,000 vehicles a year - said: 'We are planning a range of new services for fleets through the alliance but that is quite 'cloak and dagger' at the moment.' John Merry, chief executive at AutoLogic, said: 'The agreement is a strategically important step in the development of our fleet business. The pressure on fleet operators to reduce vehicle holding costs continues to increase and T2 has developed a range of innovative systems and services to address this need.'
