AA wins breakdown deal with Newcourt

NEWCOURT Automotive Services has awarded the contract to provide breakdown cover for its entire fleet to AA Business Services. Starting from July 1, all its 11,000 customer vehicles will be covered by the AA instead of using breakdown suppliers provided through manufacturers' cover with new vehicles. The move gives drivers a single emergency number in case of breakdown and allows for more extensive breakdown cover than might otherwise be provided.

The AA won the extended contract after taking the Gold Supplier Award in the Newcourt Automotive Services Automotive Supplier Awards in March. Mark O'Callaghan, operations director at Newcourt Automotive Services, said: 'The AA used to provide breakdown cover when that supplied by the manufacturer ran out, but this move makes things much simpler. Full credit must be given to the AA for the level of service provided to our drivers.'
