MAL's branded programme gets go-ahead after trials

FLEET operators have given their seal of approval to a specialist service introduced by Motorauctions, Leeds (MAL). It has created a personalised package offering established and new leasing and fleet clients the benefits of a Fleet Alliance Sale.

Operated as a partnership activity, this provides clients with personally branded sales as a selling platform for their own vehicles. A successful trial of Fleet Alliance Sales has led the auction site to introduce them as a regular monthly feature of its Friday afternoon sale. Operating as personally branded 'mini sales', each activity could feature vehicles from up to 10 client companies which, in turn, will be supported by the advance promotion of their selling lists and valeting and collection services.

Mike Partridge, operators director at Motorauctions, said: 'Vendors who supported the pilot sale were delighted at the high number of sales and the prices achieved, while customers were well satisfied at the quality of

vehicles on offer. Because we are an independent auction site we are able to provide clients with a personalised service to meet their individual needs. Following the model of the pilot sale, we intend promoting the activity as a partnership and will target national, regional and local fleet operators.'
