Europcar forms van alliance with Northgate

EUROPCAR has passed exclusive management of its van rentals to commercial vehicle rental specialist Northgate Motor Holdings. Europcar will continue to offer van rental to its customers, but through this strategic alliance will be able to offer an increased portfolio of vehicles and a more flexible product range.

Should Europcar not have the vehicle a customer wants, they will be given access to Northgate's fleet. As part of the agreement, Northgate has bought Europcar's 900-strong van fleet, bring the total number of vehicles it operates to 27,400. Europcar will be responsible for billing and administration while Northgate will maintain and supply the vehicles. The agreement also gives Northgate customers access to Europcar's car fleet.
