VOLKSWAGEN has launched a new bridging programme offering company car drivers short-term hire vehicles while their new car is on order.

The firm has begun accepting early orders for the new Passat because demand for the car has been so strong. It is offering the bridging programme to keep customers on the move until the new cars begin arriving in January.

To qualify for the scheme, drivers must have ordered a new Passat and have a registered fleet operator number. The customer or their retailer then contacts the bridging programme centre.

Loans are initially for 28 days and afterwards the rental is flexible.
