THIS year's Fleet Show - to be held at the NEC in Birmingham from April 4-6 - is taking the lead on environmental issues by becoming climate neutral. The damage done to the environment by producing power for heating and lighting at the show will be offset through an initiative with environmental specialist Climate Care, which operates a fund to invest money in projects which reduce emissions.

Visitors to the show will also be able to win the chance to have the emissions from up to 10 company cars off-set for a year by Climate Care putting money into the fund. Event director Chris Lester said: 'With the Government planning a new taxation system to accelerate the 'greening' of the nation's fleets, fleet managers are being forced to make this a priority in their fleet strategy.'

The show will see exhibits from Conoco with its new Jet Autogas liquefied petroleum gas product and Flogas Autogas is returning to the show following the amount of interest generated last year.
