Willis leaves Rover for VW

PAUL Willis has left Rover, three months after taking the position of head of UK sales and marketing operations, to become director of Volkswagen Cars UK. The appointment, which came into effect from Monday, means Willis takes over the post from Robin Woolcock, who is now managing director of Volkswagen Group.

Willis took over from Jim Macdonald as managing director of Rover in November, having previously been BMW's UK sales director for two years.
